1. OPEN (30 seconds)

Thanks for booking this call. Before we talk about tutoring, I want to understand your child’s situation properly. My goal today is simple: give you clarity on the fastest way to improve their maths grade.

2. DIAGNOSE (5 minutes)

  • What grade are they currently working at?
  • Where do they usually get stuck?
  • What has their maths teacher said about their progress?
  • What’s been tried already — past papers, revision guides, tutoring?
  • What’s the main reason you want support now?

3. AUTHORITY STORY (1–2 minutes)

Thanks for sharing all that — it gives me a clear picture. Let me quickly explain why parents come to me.

I’m a qualified maths teacher and I actually won Maths Trainee Award.

My website GCSE Maths Rocket ranks at the top of Google because it’s packed with high-quality worksheets, videos and question banks that teachers and students use across the UK.

And academically, I have a First Class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, so the maths side is something I take seriously.

4. YOUR SYSTEM (3 minutes)

So here’s how I help students improve quickly — it’s the same system I use for all my students who jump grades.

STEP 1 — Assessment

I start with an assessment covering every GCSE topic on a certain grade. It’s thorough — it shows me exactly where the gaps are.

STEP 2 — Targeted Teaching

From there, I teach only what your child needs. I keep it simple, use my own worksheets and videos, and explain each topic in a way that makes it finally ‘click.’ No wasted lessons. Every minute is focused on progress.

STEP 3 — Recapping mistakes

I don’t let students drift. I keep them accountable, focused, and improving every single week. I bring up past mistakes as I keep a copy of all the assessments. Bring in exam questions from the start so they know how to handle the real paper.

STEP 4 — Weekly parent reports

Every week, you’ll receive a short one-minute video summary from me — what we covered, what improved, and what we’re focusing on next. You’ll be able to see your child’s progress from the very first lesson, with complete transparency all the way.
